Duties

- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
- Support clinical procedures such as medication administration, X-ray imaging, and basic life support when necessary.
- Maintain thorough documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures.
- Manage medical supplies inventory and ensure the cleanliness and readiness of exam rooms.
- Facilitate patient education on treatment plans, medication usage, and post-visit instructions to promote ongoing health management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in settings such as hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology essential for accurate patient assessment and documentation.
- Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient record-keeping and ICD coding practices.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications in X-ray operation or emergency medicine preferred.
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations.
- Ability to perform clinical tasks such as intake procedures, vital signs collection, medication administration, and basic diagnostic support like X-ray imaging.
- Knowledge of medical-surgical practices and internal medicine protocols to deliver high-quality patient care in outpatient or inpatient settings.
