Supervising therapists in Madison, Hinds, Warren, and Rankin counties

Salary range: $65,000-70,000 annually

Mental Health Counseling Supervisors are responsible for the management, supervision, and support of treatment teams, the development and maintenance of community partnerships and referral relationships, and client advocacy needs. Additionally, Mental Health Counseling Supervisors provide support to the regional clinical director and the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) in relation to program-specific decisions and direction.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy, counseling, or social work
• Licensed by relevant board as one of the following: PLPC, LPC, PLMFT, LMFT, or LSCW (or ability to obtain licensure upon hire)
• High standard of personal integrity and work ethic
• Ability to adjust to various types of tasks and work cooperatively with different types of personalities
• Thorough understanding of The Center and its therapeutic services division and an intimate knowledge of program-specific policies and procedures
• Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing
• Commitment to The Center’s core values and mission
• Leadership experience is strongly preferred
  
  

Duties & Responsibilities

Clinical Coordination

• Coordinate, develop, and implement administrative services, including but not limited to the referral process, community partnerships, billing processes, case advocacy, and contract services
• Manage caseload of all clinicians under supervision, ensuring the effective coordination and delivery of services, including processing discharge summaries, assigning new cases, reviewing and approving treatment plans, and evaluating safety plans to ensure client wellbeing
• Review clinician notes for accuracy and completion
• Review, approve, and submit clinicians’ weekly invoices in a timely and efficient manner
• Assist appropriate director(s) and executive(s) with public relations with local and regional community partners and referral sources
• Collaborate with individual community partners and manage staff involvement and interactions with supportive agencies
• Assist regional clinical director in program development and other daily duties
• Interview, hire, retain, and train staff
• Prepare and distribute assigned documentation
• Other duties as assigned

Management and Supervision of Assigned Program (Medicaid Outpatient or MYPAC)

Manage and implement direct client services provided in assigned program, including but not limited to clinical case supervision of therapy team

Maintain awareness and sensitivity to service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and integrate this into supervision of clinical staff and client care

Supervise and develop therapists

Coordinate and lead team trainings and events, including generating, maintaining, and training on documentation standards per program requirements

Additionally, if assigned to MYPAC:

• Edit and review all completed assessments and intake paperwork
• Assist with authorization and concurrent review processes
• Provide crisis intervention services as needed
