Job Description:
The Day Program BCBA will work in conjunction with Day Program Leadership to assist in the following:
- Activity and programming development
- Community-access activities
- Increasing vocational skills and independence for all consumers
- Staff Training development and implementation
- Supervision of RBTs, if applicable
The Day Program BCBA will also maintain a caseload of consumers who attend the Day Program and require behavior services through their ISPS. This will include:
- Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and Writing Behavior Support Plans
- Work directly with consumers when implementing new behavior intervention strategies/reinforcement schedules
- Training staff and caregivers on data collection and plan implementation, including ongoing observations and feedback to ensure fidelity of plan implementation
- Reviewing, graphing, and analyzing behavioral data
- Writing monthly summaries and billing notes, and providing these to case managers monthly (template will be provided)
- Utilizing Microsoft Office and Google Docs to create data sheets and spreadsheets to monitor behavioral progress
- Collaborating with family support agencies to ensure consistency across environments
- Writing goals, annual hours requests and continuance of service documents
- Attending and presenting at team meetings as required
- Attending Safety Crisis Management (SCM) training and implementing SCM strategies as needed
- Employees must be effectively able to stoop, bend, lift up to 20 pounds, kneel, sit on the floor, walk a distance up to one mile at a time, and run at a brisk pace in order to support a client who elopes.
- A Master’s Degree in ABA, education, or related field
- Certification as a BCBA through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board OR eligible to sit for the BACB exam during the next testing window
- Eligible candidates will have one year to take and pass the BACB exam
