Business Office Assistant Needed - Reports to Business Office Manager

The Center at Val Vista is a 96 bed short-term rehab/Skilled Nursing Facility whose goal is to assist patients in making the transition from hospital to home. We offer all private patient suites, exceptional staff-to-patient ratios, and a state of the art therapy gym. THIS A MUST SEE BUILDING AND A GREAT OPPORTUNITY!
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with insurance verifications when needed.
- Speaking with patients regarding their insurance benefits for during their stay.
- Meeting with patients and/or their POA's to complete their Admission Contract and Financial Agreements.
- Collecting payments when applicable.
- Documenting in EMR system
- Assisting the Business Office Manager with various other clerical duties.
- Must collaborate with others, organize well, accomplish tasks, solve problems and communicate effectively
- Must have experience with Excel, Word, Outlook Email, and be computer savvy.
- Must be self-motivated and have attention to detail

Must be able to pass both a background check and drug test.
Must obtain and retain a Level 1 Fingerprint clearance card
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Experience in a health care setting (Preferred)
