Responsibilities include:
- Providing direct, resident-centered nursing care.
- Administering medications and treatments as ordered.
- Coordinating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Admitting, transferring, and discharging residents.
- Monitoring resident health, documenting observations, and responding to changes in condition.
- Educating residents and families on care plans.
- Ensuring rooms are ready for new admissions and participating in orientation.
What you'll bring:
- Current, unencumbered RN license.
- Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Ability to make independent decisions and strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and long-term care regulations.
- Patience, tact, and a positive attitude, especially with elderly and diverse populations.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Physical Demands & Environment:
- Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Cope with mental and emotional stress of the position.
- May work beyond normal hours, including call-back during emergencies.
- Exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and hazardous chemicals is possible (standard for healthcare).
