Great Coffee. Great Company. Great Community.
The Celtic Cup Coffee House – Serving Coffees, Teas, Ales and Cuisine in an Auld World Atmosphere.
Since opening in 2009, The Celtic Cup Coffee House has been a locally owned, family-operated coffee house dedicated to serving great food, exceptional coffee, and genuine hospitality.
We believe in treating our guests—and one another—with kindness, respect, and genuine hospitality. We believe guests may first visit because of our great food and exceptional coffee, but they return because of the way they are treated.
Every member of our staff helps create that experience.
We're currently seeking an Experienced Barista who enjoys serving others, takes pride in quality work, and wants to become part of a staff that values hospitality, quality, and community.
What You'll Do
This is a hands-on hospitality position. While barista experience is important, making exceptional coffee is only one part of what we do.
Our staff work together throughout the coffee house and may:
- Prepare espresso beverages, specialty coffees, teas, and other beverages.
- Welcome and assist guests with friendly, attentive service.
- Operate the TOAST Point of Sale system.
- Deliver food and beverages.
- Prepare sandwiches and light menu items.
- Bus tables, wash dishes, restock supplies, and help maintain a clean, inviting coffee house.
- Support fellow staff members wherever help is needed.
We believe no task is beneath anyone when serving our guests well.
What Makes Someone Successful at The Celtic Cup?
The people who thrive here:
- Enjoy serving people and making others feel welcome.
- Are dependable, punctual, and someone their teammates can count on.
- Notice what needs to be done and take initiative without waiting to be asked.
- Work efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Work well as part of a team and willingly help wherever needed.
- Welcome coaching and continually seek to improve.
We believe excellence is found in the little things—a warm greeting, a clean table, a carefully prepared drink, and a willingness to help wherever needed.
We can teach recipes, techniques, and procedures. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine hospitality are what make someone successful here.
Training & Growth
Every member of our staff brings different experience and strengths.
Rather than expecting everyone to begin in the same place, we evaluate each person's experience and start them where they can be successful while learning how The Celtic Cup operates.
As your knowledge and confidence grow, you'll receive hands-on training in additional stations throughout the coffee house. Our goal is to develop well-rounded staff members who understand the entire operation and are ready to help wherever they're needed.
Our beverage standards are based on the methods taught by the American Barista & Coffee School, where both owners received their professional barista training.
You'll work alongside experienced staff and owners who are actively involved in the day-to-day operation of the coffee house.
Qualifications
Applicants with previous experience in a coffee shop, café, restaurant, bakery, deli, or other hospitality environment are strongly encouraged to apply.
