Schedule: Full-Time | 32 Hours/Week
Pay: $30.00–$37.00/hour, based on experience
The Cedars is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our experienced and supportive rehabilitation team.
We provide high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation to older adults with orthopedic, neurological, and medically complex conditions. Our consistent geriatric population provides the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients while helping them improve mobility, strength, balance, independence, and quality of life.

What You’ll Do
- Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Help patients improve strength, mobility, balance, gait, transfers, and functional independence
- Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress with the supervising Physical Therapist
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with PTs, OTs, SLPs, nursing, physicians, patients, and families
- Educate patients and caregivers as appropriate
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and patient-centered rehabilitation environment
What We’re Looking For
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of Maine
- Geriatric, skilled nursing, or post-acute rehabilitation experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
