What are the responsibilities and job description for the VPK Teacher - Incarnation Catholic School position at The Catholic Diocese of St. Petersburg?
Incarnation Catholic School is seeking a passionate, experienced, and energetic VPK Teacher to lead one of our early childhood classes for the upcoming school year!
We are looking for a dedicated educator who is deeply committed to the ministry, philosophy, and goals of Catholic education. To ensure our students receive the best care and instruction, our ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the structure and requirements of the State of Florida VPK program.
Curriculum & Child Development
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with Florida VPK standards.
- Nurture and support each childs cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
Classroom Environment & Safety
- Create a safe, positive, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Ensure children are actively supervised at all times.
- Ensure strict compliance with all facility licensing, safety protocols, and VPK program requirements.
Administration & Family Engagement
- Conduct regular child assessments and maintain accurate documentation, including attendance, as required by VPK guidelines.
- Establish and maintain effective, open communication with parents and guardians.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Level 2 background screening.
