Morning Star Catholic School,Tampa, is seeking a dedicated and energetic Physical Education Teacher to work with students in Kindergarten through 9th grade. Position Overview:
The Physical Education Teacher will develop and lead an engaging, inclusive program that introduces students to a variety of sports and physical activities. Instruction focuses on skill development, understanding rules and gameplay, personal fitness, and building confidence through positive participation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver structured, developmentally appropriate PE lessons for diverse learners
- Teach fundamental motor skills, sport-specific skills, and rules of play
- Promote personal fitness, healthy habits, and lifelong wellness
- Foster sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect in all activities
- Differentiate instruction to support a wide range of learning needs and abilities
- Collaborate with faculty, therapists, and staff to support student growth
- Maintain a safe and organized environment for all activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Physical Education
- Teaching certification
- Experience working with students with learning differences or special needs preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Patience, flexibility, and a commitment to inclusive education
