Maintenance HVAC Technician
Reports to: Director of Facilities
Classification: 12-month, full-time, hourly employee
Responsibilities:
1. Read all MSDS sheets to know the chemicals being used within your job.
2. Understand role during emergencies.
3. Test pool water and balance chemicals. Compare readings with chemical controller and calibrate controller as necessary.
4. Document all readings in report book for Health Department.
5. Keep pool chemical room properly maintained and stocked.
6. Ensure pool is clean: No leaves on bottom, no mold or build up on walls.
7. Keep pool deck clean and organized.
8. Ensure all safety equipment is on the pool deck and the phone is operational. This includes all gates and locks.
9. Inspect racing platforms and diving boards for loose hardware.
10. Inspect pavers for safety issues.
11. Inspect pool equipment, including heating & cooling systems for leaks and proper pressures.
12. Backwash pool filter weekly.
13. Obtain water meter readings.
14. Maintain all HVAC equipment on campus, including changing/washing filters.
15. Be certified in all refrigerants, including R-22, R-410A, R-454B, and R-32.
16. Maintain all kitchen equipment.
17. Clean all ice machines semiannually.
18. Keep golf carts in good running condition.
19. Keep tracks on gates and gate motor chains lubricated and operable.
20. Assist with set ups when needed.
21. Inspect assigned work areas daily for repairs and preventative maintenance.
22. Be able to work nights and weekends for events or emergencies.
23. Be able to work in the heat for up to 4 hours per day.
24. Be able to use shovels and brooms for extended periods of time.
25. Be able to climb ladders up to 25 tall
26. Be able to lift 60 lbs.
27. Any other tasks as directed.
