Saint John Paul II Catholic School, a Pre-K3 - 8th Grade Diocesan school located in Lecanto, Florida, seeks a Food Services Assistant for the current 2025-2026 school year and begin immediately following acceptance. This is a part time position running Aug. through May during the school year.
The Food Services Assistant supports the daily operations of the school kitchen, ensuring nutritious, safe, and appealing meals are prepared and served to students in grades Pre-K through 8. This includes preparing future meals, cleaning kitchen and serving areas, logging all meals served, maintaining inventory, among other tasks assigned from the Food Services Director. This role plays an important part in meeting all federal and state guidelines for the National School Lunch Program.
Candidates for this position will successfully complete a background screening process, support the Mission of St. John Paul II Catholic School, and be prepared to operate within the school's food services program while maintaining compliance with the USDA's Food, Nutrition, and Wellness Service. This position is managed by the Food Services Director and reports to the principal. Rate of pay is determined based on experience and qualifications.
