The Catering Company is currently hiring a dependable and motivated Prep Cook to join our growing culinary team in Williamsburg, VA.

Position Overview
As a Prep Cook, you will play a key role in supporting our chefs with daily food preparation and event execution. This position is ideal for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a professional kitchen environment.
Schedule & Compensation
- Pay: Starting at $18/hour
- Hours: Part-time
- Overtime: Available based on event schedule
- Typical Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday (varies with events)
- Shift Times: Generally 8:00 AM – 4:00/6:00 PM (flexible based on event needs)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily food prep including chopping, slicing, portioning, and basic cooking tasks
- Follow recipes and direction from chefs with accuracy and consistency
- Assist with preparation for off-site catered events
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
- Support loading/unloading and transportation of food and equipment for events (as needed)
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
Qualifications
- Entry-level candidates welcome; prior kitchen experience is a plus
- Strong work ethic and reliability are essential
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- ServSafe certification required
