Store Associate / Driver
Starting Pay: $15.00 per hour mileage reimbursement bonus opportunities
Expected Hours: 20–30 hours per week
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Job Type: Part-Time with opportunity for additional hours
About the Position
Cash Lab is a growing local buyback and resale company looking for a dependable, trustworthy, and motivated Store Associate / Driver to join our team.
This is a combination in-store operations and local driving position.
While in the store, you will help process inventory, inspect and test merchandise, prepare orders and shipments, assist customers, maintain accurate records, and keep the workspace organized.
Throughout the workday, you may also be dispatched to meet customers and complete local pickups throughout Baton Rouge and surrounding areas.
When a pickup is completed, you will return to the store and continue regular store responsibilities.
Training will be provided on our inventory, testing, purchasing, and operational procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers visiting the store.
- Inspect and test incoming merchandise.
- Verify product condition and functionality.
- Enter purchases and inventory accurately into our company system.
- Clean and prepare merchandise for resale.
- Photograph and prepare inventory for online sale.
- Create accurate product listings using company-approved sales platforms.
- Prepare, package, and verify outgoing orders and shipments.
- Receive and inspect incoming inventory.
- Organize and maintain inventory.
- Review online marketplaces for potential purchasing opportunities.
- Submit potential purchases for approval.
- Complete local customer pickups when dispatched.
- Communicate professionally with customers during pickups.
- Accurately document pickups and business mileage using our company app.
- Handle company merchandise and funds responsibly.
- Maintain a clean and organized store and inventory area.
- Follow company procedures related to purchasing, inventory, shipping, security, and fraud prevention.
- Assist with other daily store operations as needed.
Driving Responsibilities
Local driving is an important part of this position.
Employees may be dispatched to customer locations throughout Baton Rouge and surrounding areas while on the clock.
A reliable personal vehicle is required.
Approved business mileage is reimbursed separately from hourly wages.
Certain completed pickups may also qualify for additional performance bonuses.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Have a reliable personal vehicle.
- Maintain current automobile insurance.
- Have a safe and responsible driving history.
- Have a reliable smartphone with data access.
- Have basic computer and technology skills.
- Be comfortable learning new software and mobile applications.
- Be able to accurately follow written procedures and instructions.
- Be comfortable working with valuable merchandise.
- Be able to safely lift and carry packages and merchandise up to 50 lbs.
- Be comfortable working independently when necessary.
- Be dependable and arrive to scheduled shifts on time.
- Have strong attention to detail.
- Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
Employment may be subject to a background check where permitted by law.
Preferred Qualifications
The following are helpful but not required:
- Retail experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Inventory or warehouse experience.
- Shipping/packing experience.
- Electronics knowledge.
- Experience buying or selling products online.
- Experience using online marketplaces.
- Experience working with point-of-sale, inventory, or shipping software.
No college degree is required. Training will be provided.
Compensation
Starting pay: $15.00/hour
Additional compensation may include:
- Mileage reimbursement for approved business travel.

This position involves valuable inventory, customer interactions, company funds, driving, and independently completing pickups. Accuracy and integrity are extremely important.
