Position Summary:: The Carroll School seeks teaching candidates with a growth mindset and a true passion and commitment to lifelong learning. We are seeking candidates with experience and/or interest in teaching students with language-based learning differences, and who are drawn to acquire the necessary competencies to successfully teach our type of learners. Responsibilities:

• Serve as the building substitute teacher and provide coverage for a variety of classrooms, as needed, for short and long-term leaves.
• Deliver lessons prepared by Carroll School faculty, organize the classroom environment, and maintain classroom routines that support student learning.
• For long-term leaves: plan, prepare, and deliver lessons, which may include serving as the Homeroom teacher/Advisor for 8-9 students. Act as primary liaison between the school and the families of assigned students
• Monitor and support students’ academic progress, social-emotional development, and overall well-being
• Additional duties will be assigned, including lunch/recess duty and dismissal duty.
• Develop positive working relationships with all constituencies: students, parents, colleagues, and administration
• Work in the extended day program for the first three years (fall, winter or spring). Additional compensation for extended day work
• Perform other duties as assigned.
