What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Director position at The Carriages?
The Carriages of Rivergate is growing our TEAM and we are looking for people who have a passion for serving older adults. We are seeking a fun, creative, enthusiastic, and dedicated Life Enrichment Coordinator to help create and direct activities for our Senior’s. Our Life Enrichment program provides opportunities for people to achieve social and educational goals. And to participate in the life of their community.

- Maintain and monitor the Resident holistic wellness program, including but not restricted to Resident assessment, muscular strength, aerobic and flexibility training, wellness education, social-recreational activities and volunteer program development and community resource coordinator.
- Adhere to and convey philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for the Residents.
- Plan, organize and implement group and individual social and recreational activities.
- Develop activity calendars and newsletters.
- Train and motivate Care Partners to assist with Life Enrichment activities.
- Supervise all LE Partners and Volunteers.
- Observe all work, safety, and administrative rules.
- Adhere to all established policies and procedures.
- Enjoy working with seniors, have sensitivity to their needs and be able to teach and encourage them to learn and engage in the programs.
- Have ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Be reliable in attendance and work schedules.
- Organize and utilize time appropriately toward accomplishing assigned tasks.
- Require minimal supervision.
- Have ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and/or overtime.
- A strong desire to help others and compassion for the elderly is a must.
- This job requires a high school diploma
- At least 1 year of experience
- A full criminal background check, fingerprinting, physical, drug test, and TB testing are mandatory.
Salary : $42,000
