Project Manager Scrum Master

Sr. Project Manager / Scrum Master with CSM (Certified Scrum Master) needed for our Consumables Manufacturing Technology and Transfer (MTT) group under our clients Global Operations. The MTT group is tasked with new product introduction (NPI) and increasing quality and yield within our high-volume production environments.

Contract Duration: July 13 - Nov 6, 2026

Location: Onsite in San Diego (92122) Monday - Thursday, option for Remote Fridays

Compensation: $52-64.75/hr W2, plus benefits

As a Sr. Technical Scrum Master, you will lead Scrum teams that develop, debug and enhance software-based solutions to manufacturing challenges on global consumable manufacturing areas. You will join a dynamic, fast-paced organization supporting new product development and sustaining operations. You will be adept at balancing multiple priorities and you will be able to demonstrate leadership and agility through technical change.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews and demos, and sprint retrospectives
• Maintain and support Scrum team work in project management software (i.e. JIRA) to support sprint plans and execution with administrator-level access to update and maintain templates, provide and update team access, add and maintain release versions, components, and Scrum and Kanban boards
• Guide the team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values for the benefit of our customers.
• Work with a team of Scrum Masters to define and standardize Scrum best practices for the organization
• Add and maintain software projects status reporting within project tracking software (Planisware, Smartsheet, etc.)
• Report to leadership on project status, timeline changes, risks, issues, and decisions
• Work with development teams to identify areas of improvement
• Identify and create action plans for development teams to improve their way of working within the Scrum framework
• Provide training to Scrum team members on the Scrum framework
• Support the Product Owner, especially on refining and maintaining the product backlog.
• Identify and resolve or escalate project issues, facilitate tradeoff decisions, and remove obstacles
• Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize efficiency of the development teams and ensure optimal quality is produced in the end product
• Ensure the product development efforts adhere to the product development process and design control standards
• Define and optimize Scrum and development processes, methodologies, and tools to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 5-10 years years of project management / 3 years of scrum master related experience
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification required; PMP certification preferred
• 3 years of experience with Agile software integration projects as a Scrum Master
• 3 years of experience working with Jira, Confluence, and project status reporting
• Experience with administrator-level access to Jira projects to support teams and experience querying Jira with JQL
• Successful track record of bringing new software technology solutions /products to market
• Interpersonal and facilitation skills- proven ability to effectively build relationships and achieve consensus across a wide range of functions and constituents
• Experience with manufacturing workflow enabling software (LIMS / MES) is preferred
