What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Night Auditor position at The Carpenter Hotel?
Who We Are:
In 2006 Bunkhouse was created to oversee a growing portfolio of hotels and Jo’s Coffee locations. Bunkhouse has a reputation for building memorable experiences that offer more than just a good night’s sleep and a great cup of coffee. Passion for design, tireless attention to detail and commitment to creating authentic culture have earned our properties a unique place in the hearts and minds of those who visit us. Our work is rooted in the communities in which we exist, and we believe above all else in creating an awareness of and connection to a sense of place in all that we do.
The Role:
At The Carpenter Hotel, hospitality doesn’t sleep. Our Part-Time Night Auditor ensures that the welcoming, thoughtful experience our guests receive during the day continues seamlessly through the overnight hours. This role combines the responsibilities of a front desk host with the precision of an accounting professional, making it essential to both the guest experience and the operational success of the hotel.
During overnight shifts, the Night Auditor serves as the primary point of contact for guests, providing warm service, assisting with late arrivals, addressing guest needs, and ensuring the property remains safe and well-managed throughout the night. At the same time, this role is responsible for completing the daily financial reconciliation of the hotel’s operations, ensuring that all transactions, room charges, and accounts are accurately balanced before the start of a new business day.
The ideal candidate is both guest-focused and detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and confident managing both service and operational responsibilities.
