Homedica is currently hiring a reliable Certified Medical Assistant for Jackson, MS. Our Medical Assistant works directly with healthcare staff, assists with patient visits, and maintains patient records in our Electronic Medical Records system.

Medical Assistant Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 years of experience working in a healthcare practice or hospital
• Home Health experience preferred but not required
• Must be dependable
• High level of professionalism
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and follow instructions in a busy paced environment a MUST.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
  
  

Medical Assistant Job Duties

• Work directly with healthcare staff
• Maintain records in EMR system
• Travel to patients homes within a 40-50 mile radius
• Utilize company provided equipment to record vitals and list medications
• Schedule telehealth visits for patients on both personal patient devices as well as company provided equipment
• Various office duties as needed
