Responsibilities
- Assist with drafting, reviewing, and managing real estate contracts, leases, purchase agreements, and title documents.
- Preparing Closing Disclosures and mortgage packages for bank representation.
- Prepare and organize legal documents.
- Coordinate due diligence efforts including title searches, survey reviews, environmental assessments, and review of land use permits.
- Manage clients and communications.
- Assist with document review processes for litigation or transactional purposes; proofread and edit legal drafts for clarity and precision.
- Manage client files and correspondence using legal case management software like Westlaw or LexisNexis; maintain meticulous records of all transactions.
- Conduct interviews with clients, vendors, or stakeholders to gather pertinent information for ongoing projects or legal proceedings.
- Provide executive administrative support including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, managing correspondence, and maintaining organized filing systems.
- Support attorneys with research.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards while handling sensitive information related to real estate matters.
Qualifications
- Proven paralegal or closing coordinator experience within a law office environment focusing on real estate transactions, mortgage closing settlement work or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of real estate transactions and mortgage lender representation.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Experience with real estate related documents.
- Strong clerical skills including filing, data entry, phone etiquette, and administrative support functions.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks.
