Front Counter and Food Prep Team member. Company: Caribbean Stop Takeout and Catering. Location: 8902 Harford Road, Parkville, Maryland, 21234. Inside KSB African and Caribbean Cuisine. Starting pay: 15 dollars per hour, higher based on experience. Position Summary: Caribbean Stop Takeout and Catering is seeking a reliable, customer-focused team member to support our daily restaurant operations, food prep, and catering services. This position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to assist across front counter, prep, and occasional off-site events. Key Responsibilities. Provide professional and friendly customer service, operate the POS system and maintain accurate cash handling. Process and package customer, delivery, and catering orders with accuracy. Perform basic food preparation and portioning according to company standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and take their food orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
• Prepare food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality, presentation, and safety.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively to support food preparation tasks.
• Manage customer transactions at the register, processing cash, credit card payments, and handling cash register operations with accuracy.
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene standards throughout your shift.
• Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring food safety practices during food handling.

Qualifications

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, assist with catering prep, packing, loading, setup, and cleanup as needed. Occasionally work off-site catering and special events. Perform other restaurant duties as assigned. Qualifications: Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred. POS and cash handling experience preferred. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, willingness to support both front counter and prep functions. Availability for evenings and or weekends as required. Reliable transportation to Parkville and occasional off-site events. Compensation and Growth. Starting pay is 15 dollars per hour, with higher starting rates considered based on experience and qualifications.
