We are hiring a compassionate and autonomous Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for a 7-on/7-off schedule, covering 4:30 PM – 8:30 AM, and the weekend, with in-person hospice support as needed.
This is a full-time role with full benefits — while working only half the year.

Schedule
- 7 days on / 7 days off

- Provide after-hours symptom management and telephonic triage
- Perform in-person visits as needed for urgent patient needs
- Support and educate patients and families during end-of-life care
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and aides
- Complete accurate and timely documentation

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Help optimize the capital structure and support strategic initiatives.
- Maintains the agency’s mission, philosophy and core values.
- Ensures compliance with agency policies and procedures regarding operations/processes, including but not limited to those regarding patient care, patient complaints, incidents, safety and emergency management.
- Always maintains patient confidentiality, including all HIPAA regulations.
- Licensed or registered in the state in which he/she currently practices..
- Must pass a criminal background check & MVR check.
- Completed health statement acknowledging ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Proof of current automobile insurance.
- Current CPR card; On-line CPR certification accepted; Hands-on CPR certification preferred.
- TB testing per agency policy; (1 or 2 step TB skin test within 12 months of hire & annual TB symptom screening thereafter).
- Ability to work independently, make accurate, and at times, quick judgments. Ability to supervise others appropriately. Ability to respond appropriately to crisis outside of a hospital setting. Acceptance of and adaptability to different social, racial, cultural and religious modes. Completes Hospice training program.
- Active patient contact within past three years, preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a registered nurse, preferred
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Currently licensed as a registered nurse to practice in the state.
