Schedule & Coverage
- Standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
- Genesee County
- This position participates in a shared on-call rotation, including weekly on-call coverage and rotating weekends with other team members.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct spiritual assessments
- Provide spiritual counseling and support
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
- Support patients, families, and caregivers
- Help optimize the capital structure and support strategic initiatives.
- Maintains the agencys mission, philosophy, and core values.
- Ensures compliance with agency policies and procedures regarding operations/processes, including but not limited to those regarding patient care, patient complaints, incidents, safety, and emergency management.
- Always maintains patient confidentiality, including all HIPAA regulations.
- Must pass a criminal background check & MVR check.
- Completed health statements acknowledging the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Valid state drivers license.
- Proof of current automobile insurance.
- Current CPR card; On-line CPR certification accepted; Hands-on CPR certification preferred.
- TB testing per agency policy; (1 or 2 step TB skin test within 12 months of hire & annual TB symptom screening thereafter).
- Experience in a Hospice setting preferred.
- Ability to work independently, make accurate, and at times, quick judgments. Ability to respond appropriately to crises outside of a hospital setting. Acceptance of and adaptability to different social, racial, cultural, and religious modes.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a chaplain/spiritual counselor, preferred.
- Active patient contact within the past three years is preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology or appropriate certification in a hospital or pastoral ministry.
- Certificate or degree in pastoral ministry.
