The Care Team is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Eligibility & Authorization Coordinator to join our growing team in Farmington Hills, Michigan. As an Eligibility & Authorization Coordinator, you'll play a critical role in the patient admission process by verifying insurance eligibility, obtaining prior authorizations, and ensuring accurate payer information before services begin. You'll collaborate closely with Intake, Clinical, and Revenue Cycle teams to help ensure timely admissions and accurate reimbursement.

Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:
• Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and payer information to support timely admissions and accurate billing.
• Obtain and document prior authorizations while ensuring all payer requirements are met before the start of care.
• Review and maintain patient demographic, insurance, and authorization information within the EMR.
• Monitor eligibility reports, authorization status, and payer updates while resolving discrepancies and supporting Revenue Cycle operations.
• Collaborate with Intake, Clinical, Billing, and Revenue Cycle teams to ensure accurate documentation, timely service authorization, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One or more years of experience in insurance eligibility, prior authorizations, medical billing, or healthcare administration required.
• Home Health, Hospice, or healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and authorization processes preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems. HomeCare HomeBase HCHB preferred.
