We are looking for an as-needed/part-time Weekend Cashier. This position requires both open weekend availability and some weekdays on a consistent weekly basis, and the starting pay is $17.00 per hour.

Duties

• Operate the cash register (POS system) efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges while ensuring accuracy in cash drawer handling.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and guiding them through product features and demos.
• Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining attractive displays to enhance the shopping environment.
• Upsell products by recommending complementary items and informing customers about ongoing promotions or new arrivals.
• Manage retail sales transactions smoothly, including handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with proper phone etiquette.
• Support merchandising efforts by setting up product displays and ensuring store cleanliness and organization.
• Supervise or assist in training new team members on POS operations, customer service standards, and store procedures when applicable.

Requirements

• Previous experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales is highly preferred.
• Knowledge in buying, selling and trading pokemon, one piece, sports, etc.
• Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in a retail setting is a plus.
• Bilingual skills are desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently and clearly.
• Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Knowledge of grocery store or retail store product lines is advantageous.
• Experience in merchandising, stocking, and product demos enhances your fit for this role.
• Proven ability to handle cash register operations responsibly while maintaining attention to detail.
