Compensation: $20-$35/hr (DOE)
Position Summary
The Residential Journeyman Painter is responsible for executing high-quality residential painting projects according to company standards and customer expectations. This role requires advanced painting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, caulking, patching, and priming.
- Apply paint, stains, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Execute both interior and exterior painting projects according to company standards.
- Read and interpret work orders, specifications, and blueprints.
- Ensure proper use of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, including daily clean-up and proper storage of tools and materials.
- Communicate with clients courteously and professionally.
- Follow safety protocols and wear proper PPE at all times.
- Assist with minor drywall repairs, wood staining, and touch-ups as required.
- Report project progress, issues, and material needs to the Production Manager.
- Train and mentor apprentice painters as needed.

Qualifications

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work on ladders or scaffolding.
- OSHA certification is a plus.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3-5 years of residential painting experience.
- Proficiency in brushing, rolling, and spraying techniques.
