Primary Responsibilities
- Table and engage the public in busy outdoor locations
- Have face-to-face conversations with members of the public all day
- Engage the local community and educate them about the mission and initiatives of the nonprofit
- Clearly communicate the organization’s impact and the importance of supporting it’s work
- Encourage and inspire individuals to become recurring donors supporting programs that help animals and end cruelty
- Represent our nonprofit partners with integrity, enthusiasm, and professionalism
- Track personal performance and work toward weekly goals
- Learn and master core skills within the first 1–2 weeks
Qualifications
- A passion for social impact, animal welfare, or related causes
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
- Positive, motivated attitude with the ability to inspire action
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Comfortable working outdoors and standing for extended periods of time
- Comfortable approaching and speaking with new people throughout the day
- Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Fast learner who can quickly absorb systems and messaging
- Experience in canvassing, sales, or fundraising is a plus, but not required
Important Information
- This is a field-based, outdoor role (not an office job)
- You will be on your feet and actively engaging with the public daily
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
