Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facility Maintenance: Oversee the general upkeep and maintenance of the facility, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems to ensure the safety and comfort of residents and staff.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure that all equipment and systems are regularly inspected and serviced to avoid downtime or unexpected repairs.
- Staff Supervision: Manage and supervise the maintenance team, providing guidance, training, and performance management. Ensure staff adheres to safety standards and facility procedures.
- Budget Management: Assist in managing the maintenance budget, including controlling expenses, tracking supplies, and prioritizing repair projects. Provide recommendations for capital improvement projects.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that the facility is in compliance with all safety codes and regulations, performing regular inspections and safety checks to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.
- Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, ensuring that issues are resolved quickly and efficiently to minimize disruptions to residents and operations.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance needs, ensuring quality service and adherence to facility standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests, repairs, and completed work in Upkeep platform. Provide reports on ongoing projects and maintenance activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Previous experience in maintenance management, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting (required)
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems
- Experience managing a team and overseeing maintenance staff
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects efficiently
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly
