Duties:
- Must be willing to provide care as a caregiver
- Administer medications to residents according to prescribed dosages and schedules
- Monitor residents for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications
- Document medication administration accurately in medical records
- Assist with physical examinations and vital sign measurements as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication management
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Maintain a clean and organized medication cart or area
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a Medication Technician training program
- Current certification as a Medication Technician or similar credential
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, medication administration, and medical terminology
- Experience working in an assisted living or similar healthcare setting preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (e.g., Cerner) is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Ability to work well in a team environment
