Position Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors in the assisted living community. This role plays a vital part in ensuring resident safety, infection control, and overall satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize resident apartments, common areas, offices, bathrooms, dining areas, and other assigned spaces
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and furniture
- Empty trash and dispose of waste according to community and safety guidelines
- Properly clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces to support infection control standards
- Follow established cleaning schedules and checklists
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to supervisor promptly
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to instructions
- Respect resident privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Interact with residents in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner
- Assist with room turnovers and move-ins/move-outs as needed
- Comply with all state regulations, company policies, and safety procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, especially in healthcare or senior living
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 30–75 pounds
- Ability to push carts and operate cleaning equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment:
- Assisted living community with exposure to cleaning chemicals
- Interaction with residents, staff, and visitors daily

Pay: $12.00 - $12.75 per hour
