What are the responsibilities and job description for the Budtender position at The Canna Shoppe?
The Canna Shoppe (Anchor Way) is looking for a dynamic knowledgeable budtender to add to our awesome team. This position will require a face to face interview and a working interview to follow. A working interview will entail a prospective employee shadowing a current employee to orient themselves with our operations and practices. The prospective employee will perform all the required duties of the position and will be evaluated not only by the store manager but also by other team members. Requirements for consideration of the position are as follows.
Requirements:
- At least 21 years of age
-Valid marijuana handlers permit- Flexible schedule: Able to work AM and PM shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Customer service experience (ability to consult with and assist medical patients and recreational users).
- Must possess interpersonal skills and be able to meld and work with other team members.
- Must be knowledgeable of strains, cannabinoids, terpenes and general usages.
- Knowledge of common measurements and weights.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with team members. Our ideal employee demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills, common sense, and can be self-directed, self-motivated and detail oriented.
They also possess the ability to receive direction from other team members and take constructive criticism and apply it to the daily tasks and functions of their position. They must be work focused, have time management skills, and punctuality. Knowledge of the Oregon marijuana industry, laws, regulations, and trends are highly desired.
Job Description and Summary of General Duties:
- Complete transactions on POS system with efficiency and accuracy.
- Interact positively with customers.
- Accurately relay of information about products and their uses to customers.
- Maintain product displays and the integrity of products (restocking items)
- Must be able to maintain clean work environment, that includes preforming daily and weekly cleaning duties.
Budtenders are responsible for the daily operations of the business which includes opening and closing duties such as removing products from shelves, securing them in safes, stocking items prior to opening, weighing/filling jars, replenishing supplies used, and maintaining various other general operations, and being able to uphold all of the physical demands of the position.
Only candidates with a valid marijuana handler permit will be considered. Candidates with prior dispensary experienced will be preferred. Those who possess at least 2 years of customer service experience, with transferable skills may also apply.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
