The Cancer Center of Hawaii is the only free-standing radiation cancer treatment center with two advanced facilities on Oahu: Liliha in Honolulu and Pali Momi in Aiea.
We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Scheduler/Patient Service Representative or Scheduler/Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role serves as a key coordinator between patients, providers and departments to ensure accurate and timely procedure scheduling.
Requirements :
· High school degree or equivalent (for MAs only: Medical Assistant Certificate)
· 1-2 related experience in a clinic setting
· Strong computer skills and EMR systems is desirable
· Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills essential for effective communication with patients, physicians and team
· Experience with medical procedure scheduling is beneficial
Duties:
· Coordinates appointments and schedules procedures for patients.
· Schedules physicians for procedures.
· Works closely with outside physician offices for patient procedures.
· Gathers and reviews necessary medical information for patient’s appointments.
· Obtains insurance authorization for procedures.
· Schedules patient appointments.
· Inputs patient information and demographics into computer system.
· Serves as front office back-up, including but not limited to answering phones, checking in patients and other front office support as needed.
