Hourly Rate: $38.66 /.85 shift differential
Shift: Swing shift 7 days on 3rd, 4 days off, 7days on 2nd, 2 days off, 7 days on 1st, 2 days off continues to rotate. 1st - 8a-4p, 2nd 4p-12a, 3rd 12a-8
Requirements: Candidate must have a minimum of Ohio Third Class Stationary Steam Engineer's License to operate high pressure boilers and steam turbines.
General Summary: The Operating Engineer is responsible for operating and maintaining Boiler House equipment. They must be able to work in a variety of environments, problem-solve, and operate a variety of equipment. Work will vary day-to-day depending upon the needs of the Boiler House to maintain efficient operations. The Engineer must be self-motivated; able to complete jobs in a timely and safe manner; and must be able to work productively with other employees. In order to ensure operation, Engineer will have flexibility to be able to move to whatever shift needs coverage, this is a swing shift position.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. Primary Responsibilities
- Operate Boiler House equipment and controls to achieve maximum efficiency in meeting all plant steam requirements.
- Coordinate and direct a group of hourly personnel on a particular assignment exercising a high degree of versatility of skills and independent judgement to complete assignment efficiently with no interference in manufacturing operations.
- Prepare/maintain necessary records of Boiler House operating activities.
- Plan, develop, install, and maintain with the highest degree of skill and proficiency, Boiler House equipment and facilities.
- Restart equipment in the event of power outages.
- Troubleshoot operational issues with natural gas boilers, feedwater systems, compressed air system, etc.
- Shutdown and Restart equipment in the event of an energy curtailment.
- High school diploma or GED
- Meet requirements for and possess a current Stationary Engineers’ License issued by the State of Ohio, with a thorough understanding of company and state code regulations.
- Typical Manufacturing Environment
- Usual noise level in the work environment is 79-94 db.
- Moderate physical lifting required
- Must be able to climb stairs or ladders
- Must be able to drive a cart or towmotor
- The employee must be able to work in excessive temperatures.
- Machinery and tool operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, earplugs, gloves & safety harness.
- Employee will be required to complete additional training as directed by the company.
- Minimum travel required.
