Essential Functions: The incumbent audits semester-based financial aid and tuition/fee refunds in PeopleSoft, ensuring compliance with Title IV and Title V. Key responsibilities include processing tuition-refund petitions; verifying and managing registration credit reports, wire transfers, and stale-dated or returned checks; and administering monthly departmental Grant-in-Aid checks and related processes. The role also supports off-campus scholarship and Grant-in-Aid programs, audits operational reports, processes departmental refunds, and provides customer service to the campus community. |

Required Qualifications & Experience: Three years of progressively responsible financial record-keeping methods, procedures, and practice experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities. Knowledge of the rules, regulations, and federal guidelines for the disbursement of financial aid and of university policies and procedures as well as State and Federal regulations. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills. The incumbent must have the ability exercise a high level of tact and judgment in addressing members of the campus community. Must have the ability to apply accounting procedures and practices; analyze and interpret accounting data; prepare clear, accurate financial reports; understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures; and make sound recommendations regarding assigned responsibilities. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position.

Desired Qualifications: Experience working with PeopleSoft Student Administration system. Experience in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel and Word. |
