We’re a family-owned bakery known for our cheesecakes and French tea cakes (think madeleines, cannelés, and financiers), with desserts featured at local favorites like Sushi Ota and Ken Sushi Workshop. If you’re excited about food, desserts, and building something special from the ground up, this is your place.
Open Positions
Baker & Decorator
- Prep, bake, and decorate desserts alongside our Head Baker.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in a commercial bakery.
- Professional decorating skills are a huge plus.
Baker Assistant
- Help with prep, cleaning, and daily baking tasks.
- No experience required—just a great attitude and a willingness to learn.
- This is a growth role with a path to becoming a full baker.
What We’re Looking For
- Passion for baking and genuine love for The Cakery’s products
- Weekend shifts are part of the schedule, so weekend availability is a must.
- Weekday starts at 6:00 am and Weekends 5:30 or 6:00am
- Positive, can-do attitude and excitement to learn
- Team player mindset—collaboration and clear communication are key
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform moderate physical work
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation to Miramar area (92121)
- Food Safety Certification (preferred before starting)
- Ability to read, follow instructions, and communicate clearly
