The Cake House is hiring for our Wildomar Location! Born from a calling to supply the veteran community with a trusted medicine combating the effects of PTSD, reduce chronic pain, nausea, and many other common ailments effecting Veterans and civilians a like, we are excited to grow our team, and are looking for talented General Manager to lead our team!
Our General Manager oversees all day-to day operations including staffing needs, maintaining store and inventory.
The General Manager is responsible for representing The Cake House's mission, vision, and values and developing a high-performing team that consistently delivers the highest level of customer service, education, compliance while reaching ambitious sales goals.
The General Manager oversees day-to-day operations of the dispensary, managing core department managers (Security, Reception, Customer Consultants, and Inventory). The General Manager leads on day-to-day activities and has oversight responsibilities for customer relations, compliance, facilities, sales and marketing. The General Manager provides leadership to all departments throughout the dispensary and is responsible for ensuring day-to-day activities are implemented in accordance with established policies and procedures and within the approved budget.
The General Manager, along with the corporate officers will be responsible for business and marketing strategy, financial oversight, community engagement, vendor relationships and workplace culture. This position reports to and is accountable to the corporate officers.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Training all agents on inventory, sales, security, sales, and operation procedures
- Opening and closing duties
- Conducting beginning of day and end of day inventory audit
- Overseeing sales and operations, and conduct end of day inventory audit
- Maintaining facility records
- Inspecting, and accepting deliveries
- Disposing of cannabis waste
- Reconciling inventory discrepancies
- Reviewing surveillance equipment and footage
- Maintaining contact with the Bureau and the State/Local Police in the event of an emergency
- Customer service
- Assist in staff development
- Ensure that Inventory Controller is notified of all returns so this may be communicated to the vendor and product replaced or credit given
- Responsible for all cash in drop safe and vault
- Reporting all relevant operational information to General Manager
- Updating POS and preforming and maintenance in conjunction with inventory personnel
- Executing marketing efforts as directed by the marketing team
- Training and developing employees from within
- Assisting with quarterly shift lead reviews, 90-day reviews for new employees as well as annual reviews for all line level staff
- Performing any other duties and projects assigned by the GM
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience as a manager.
- 2-3 years of cannabis experience
- Sales experience and knowledge of computers, POS and programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional customer service
- Flexible work schedule
- Must be 21 years or older
- Clean DMV record
- Reliable means of transportation
- Management experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to exchange accurate information, detect/identify documents and the information contained in them, continuous mobility throughout the store on a daily basis, lift and move up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis, stoop, kneel, and crouch on a daily basis and climb a ladder and maintain balance on a daily basis
