You're the kind of person who notices things.

You notice the bucket of balls someone left by the tee, and you put it away without being asked. You notice the nervous kid at his first session, so you learn his name and his walk-up song by the end of the night. And you notice when a family is about to leave without booking their next visit. You fix that too.

The Cage Project is a 5,000-square-foot indoor baseball and softball training facility in Chapin, open 24/7 to members. We built it for players who want to get better and for families who want a great place to do it.

Now we need someone on site in the evenings to keep it running and help it grow.

The job has two sides.

The first side is keeping the place spotless and ready to go. You'll vacuum the turf, knock down the cobwebs, put equipment away after sessions, and make sure the machines and gear work. If something breaks, you'll fix what you can and tell us fast about what you can't. Some nights that's most of your shift. We take clean seriously, because the first thing a new family judges is how the place looks.

The second side is helping us grow. You'll:

• Run free trial sessions and make new families feel at home
• Help members at check-in and answer their questions
• Shoot photos and video for our social media
• Promote our specials and help bring more trials through the door
• Help launch new programs, like a winter hitting league and youth strength and conditioning
• Support events, camps and our ambassador program
• Keep supplies stocked and the front area neat

Here's the part that matters if you're a self-starter. This role grows with the facility. As you help bring in new members and get new programs off the ground, more hours and more pay come with it. Someone who takes ownership here won't stay at 10 hours a week for long.

The schedule. Mostly evenings, on a set schedule we agree on before you start. You'll start at 10 to 15 hours a week, and that can grow as the programs grow. This job is in person at the facility.

You'll thrive here if you:

• Are good with kids and comfortable talking to parents
• Like hands-on work and don't mind getting a little dirty
• Know baseball or softball, which is a big plus
• Can shoot a decent video on your phone

The physical side. You'll be on your feet for most of your shift, vacuuming, moving equipment, and lifting buckets of balls and gear up to about 40 pounds.

Because you'll be working around kids, this role requires a background check before you start.
