Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Host/Host to join our team at a vibrant restaurant. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest flow efficiently.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with menus.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely service.
- Utilize OpenTable system for managing waitlists and reservations.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Assist guests with inquiries, ensuring their needs are met promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive dining experience for all guests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Familiarity with systems, particularly FoodTec & OpenTable, is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with a genuine desire to help guests.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
