Duties
- Safely operate personal vehicles, to deliver food orders across designated routes.
- Load and unload deliveries using manual handling techniques.
- Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and safe lifting practices during all driving and manual handling activities.
- Navigate using mobile devices to follow optimized routes, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with traffic laws.
- Interact professionally with customers upon delivery, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns courteously.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, complete shift reports, and document any incidents or delays promptly.
- Assist in restaurant operations when needed, including moving goods or supplies.
Experience
- Prior delivery driver experience preferred, but not needed.
- Ability to adhere to DOT regulations and weight handling standards during load & unload activities.
- Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation and communication during deliveries.
- Demonstrated ability to perform moving tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
