Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts following established recipes and quality standards.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with precision and creativity using various cake decorating techniques.
- Package baked items efficiently for retail or catering purposes, ensuring presentation meets company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist with food production tasks such as mixing, portioning, and assembling ingredients for various baked goods.
- Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to safety standards to prevent contamination or spoilage.
- Support catering events or restaurant service as needed, providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients or guests.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, knives, and other baking tools.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in baking, pastry arts, or culinary environments; experience in cake decorating is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety protocols, and kitchen equipment operation.
- Familiarity with packaging baked goods for retail or catering distribution.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in baking methods across various cuisines.
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience preferred; catering or bakery background highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
