Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently and safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation for catering events or large orders.
- Ensure all food is stored properly, rotating stock to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within the food industry or restaurant environment.
- Strong knife skills with the ability to handle various kitchen tools safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus for accommodating special dietary needs.
- Understanding of food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene standards are met.
