The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a Contract Specialist.
The Contract Specialist will:
- Conduct market research and acquisition planning.
- Prepare and issue solicitations, including Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Invitations for Bids (IFBs).
- Develop source selection plans and evaluation criteria.
- Perform cost and price analysis.
- Assist in the evaluation of proposals and quotes.
- Prepare contract award documents.
- Administer contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
- Monitor contractor performance and progress.
- Process contract modifications.
- Review and process invoices for payment.
- Assist in the resolution of claims and disputes.
- Perform contract closeout procedures.
Required Experience & Skills
- At least four (4) years of experience in federal contracting
- A thorough understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and its supplements
- Excellent written and oral communication skill
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Understanding of the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
