The Building People, LLC, has a position open for an experienced Senior Building Automation Specialist. BAS technicians support a building’s management, tenants, and systems by managing BAS equipment and technologies. A BAS technician’s primary duties include:
- Monitoring BAS components for HVAC, plumbing, electricity, computer networking, lighting, and security.
- Working with building managers, tenants, and visitors to provide a safe and comfortable experience inside the building.
- Working with architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals to maintain or expand the building’s features and capacities.
- Collaborating with BAS vendors and solution to use the data from BAS components to improve a building’s performance or reduce its operating cost.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance and Commissioning tests on complete automation systems.
- Make recommendations for systems upgrades and efficiency of operations.
