Summary

The Marketing Analyst - Brand Strategy plays a key role in driving data-informed decisions that enhance brand performance and strategy. This Teammate will focus on analyzing market trends, consumer behavior, and campaign performance to provide actionable insights. The Teammate in this role will be detail-oriented, highly analytical, and passionate about combining data and creativity to elevate the Buckle brand success while contributing research, analysis, and insight to the development of Buckle’s brand strategy.

Beyond the marketing organization, the Marketing Analyst – Brand Strategy will partner with merchandising and other stakeholders to best understand and represent our business and merchandising strategy including specific brands, top categories, key items, trend and outfitting stories, and broader editorial brand narratives that reflect and build the Buckle brand and grow our market share.

Market Research & Industry Trends

  • Conduct research and analysis of the Buckle competitive landscape and better understand key competitors’ value proposition, how it connects with their target audiences, and assess Buckle’s ability to compete in the landscape.
  • Monitor and analyze broader market and industry trends, including shifts in consumer behavior, technological advancements, and cultural or economic factors that may impact Buckle’s strategy.
  • Track shifts in the retail and apparel industry, including economic, cultural, and technological factors that may impact Buckle’s market position.
  • Collaborate with various Teams and partners when necessary to gather deeper insights.

Data Analysis and Insights

  • Track and evaluate brand performance metrics, including awareness, sentiment, and market share.
  • Generate and share actionable insights to inform Buckle brand positioning, messaging, and campaign strategies.
  • Utilize analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Excel, CRM/BUEP, Power BI) to gather and analyze data.
  • Maintain dashboards to provide real-time insights to stakeholders.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reporting and analysis.

Campaign Performance

  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns across various Buckle channels.
  • Provide detailed reports and other relevant metrics to support decision-making.
  • Recommend adjustments to strategies based on performance data and industry benchmarks.
  • Evaluate campaign performance metrics to understand their impact on brand objectives.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with digital marketing Teams to evaluate online performance metrics, SEO (search engine optimization), social media, and paid media.
  • Partner with creative Teams and business stakeholders to understand and unite business and merchandising strategies with Buckle’s brand strategy.
  • Assist in the development of data-backed brand strategies and initiatives.

General

  • Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive team spirit.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education And/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required, degree in Marketing or similar discipline preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Google Analytics, Tableau, SQL, etc.).
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to present complex data to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills

  • One to three years of marketing or merchandising experience.
  • Familiarity with market research methods and tools.
  • Experience in the retail vertical working with fashion, lifestyle or apparel brands with complex stakeholder ecosystems and business seasonality highly desired.
  • Understanding of digital marketing channels and performance metrics.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Ability to operate a motor vehicle and complete errands based on business needs.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the Teammate regularly works in an office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
