JOB SUMMARY
The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail, ensuring our guests receive clean and crisp linens. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for processing the laundry from guest rooms and the banquet department, ensuring that all areas of the hotel are kept properly stocked with
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Ensure an environment in which high standards of customer service and quality exist for our guest.
- Sort linens for wash.
- Apply stain removers where needed.
- Operate washers and dryers in a safe manner.
- Fold all linen to hotel standards.
- Wash banquet linen and press the same.
- Washes bedspreads, bed pads, and blankets per instructions.
- Keeps the laundry area neat and clean.
- Assist in other areas when the laundry is slow or the work is caught up.
- Comply with all safety requirements of the job.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Excellent verbal, comprehension, listening and problem solving skills.
- Guest relation skills.
- Adaptability.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- 1 to 3 years’ hotel housekeeping laundry experience desired
PHYSICAL ENVIORNMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands to finger, or feel objects, tools or controls and or lift boxes, (up to 50 pounds), talk and hear.
- Vision abilities required by this job to be able to see dirt and hair.
