Key Responsibilities
Lower and Middle School substitute teachers will provide support and coverage to Lower and Middle School classrooms in the event of a teacher absence. Among other things, they will be tasked with:
- Supervising a warm, safe, and well-managed classroom environment
- Regular LS/MS substitute hours are 7:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m
- Supporting students and implementing lessons plans provided by the teacher
- Covering scheduled duties such as lunch and recess supervision
- Collaborating professionally and collegially with other teachers on the grade level and specialist teachers
- Heartily contributing to the school community by modeling and upholding The Browning School’s mission and values
