Role Description
This is a per diem, on-site role for a Pharmacist at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, located in Brooklyn, NY. The Per Diem Pharmacist will be responsible for preparing, verifying, and dispensing medications, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and hospital protocols. Responsibilities include counseling patients on medication use, reviewing and interpreting prescriptions, supporting medication therapy management, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care. Qualifications
- Competence in reviewing and verifying prescriptions, preparing, and dispensing medications
- Ability to provide medication therapy management and patient counseling
- Solid understanding of medication safety, regulatory compliance, and hospital protocols
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Proficiency in using pharmacy management systems and technology
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for successful teamwork
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree and a valid Pharmacist license in the state of New York
- Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred but not mandatory
