Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for a General Education (GenEd) Teacher/ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) Teacher for K-5 at The Brooklyn Charter School, located in Brooklyn, NY. The teacher will be responsible for designing and implementing effective lesson plans, integrating information technology into instructional practices, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. The role also includes collaborating with colleagues, engaging with families, and contributing to the school's goals of academic excellence and community building.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and curriculum development tailored for K-5 students
- Certification or qualification as a Teacher with experience in elementary education
- Knowledge of Information Technology and Computer Science concepts for integration into classroom instruction
- Strong Communication skills with the ability to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse educational environment
- Experience in co-teaching models or collaborative teaching is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree is preferred)
