Responsibilities
- Coordinate between kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely delivery of hot and cold dishes
- Verify accuracy of orders before serving to guests
- Assist with food preparation and plating as needed to maintain quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting station
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order status and special requests
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed during all stages of food handling and presentation
- Support bussing duties when necessary to maintain smooth service flow
- Contribute to a positive dining experience by providing attentive customer service and addressing guest needs promptly
Experience
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or culinary environments preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices
- Experience with banquet service or hotel dining is a plus
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations beneficial
- Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles enhances effectiveness in this position
