Utility/Q.C. Inspection/Seperate and Count

6:00am to 2:30pm
Primary Duties;
Perform routine, repetitive operations to separate like parts or assemblies from mix into containers, using care that containers hold like pieces. Visually inspect for rejects caused by blow holes, misruns, strains, etc. Zero scale for container weight. Weigh-count separated materials. Identify materials, change accompanying count figures when necessary. Record required information to go with each container. Hand count larger parts for accuracy, using care to prevent nicks and marks in handling. Move materials as required. Observe good housekeeping practice and prescribed safety precautions. Update and record all information in the computer taking care that computer entries are accurate before exiting to the next item. Work with Engineering to determine quality standards on new jobs and inform Q.C. inspectors accordingly. Occasionally inform Q.C. Inspectors about established quality standards on existing jobs when necessary. Assist Snag Room employees with computer related problems. Assist with work at Separate and Count bench as needed. Perform other duties as assigned or directed by supervisor.
Attend annual hazardous waste training for instruction of handling departmental waste streams.
