What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Attendant (Part-Time) position at The Broadway Hotel?
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Laundry Attendant. This position is for two day shifts per week, with the opportunity to pick up additional hours as available either during the day when other staff request time off, or by assisting with housekeeping shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial washers and dryers to clean hotel linens and towels
- Fold and sort clean laundry and restock housekeeping shelves
- Ensure laundry area remains clean and organized
- Treat, rewash, and inspect stained linen.
- Monitor chemical levels and report any machine malfunctions
- Follow all hotel policies and safety procedures
Schedule:
- Primary: 2 day shifts per week (e.g., 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
- (Optional) Additional Hours Available: Day and Evening shift coverage and housekeeping shifts as needed, based on availability and performance
Qualifications:
- Prior laundry or housekeeping experience preferred, but not required
- Reliable and self-motivated, able to work independently overnight
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Flexible availability is a plus
